Addicted to Mandarin Oranges

Hi, my name is Stacy and I am a mandarin orange addict.

Am I the last one to know about this?
Why has no one ever told me about this secret fruit?
Mandarin oranges are in season and they are DELICIOUS!

The Greatest Discovery this past weekend:
Finding 2 large bags of these orange gems in my mom's fridge,
I started chomping on them and couldn't stop.
This must mean something bc why would 1 woman need 2 large bags?
Ughhhh, bc they're so darn Sweet & Juicy Wuicy Uicy!

They are so EZ to peel, and just as EZ to eat.

Like the Lay's Potato Chip commercial slogan,
"You can't eat just One".
Okay, I ate about 3 already.

And "yes", as I'm photojournaling about this.
I am busily popping these segments into my mouth.

The last one...for now.

This photo doesn't even do this magnificent fruit justice.
All I can say is run to the market and pick up a bag of this Delicious Fruit!
Don't say I never passed on any of my secrets.

Scout's addicted to clementines. Are they different? But sadly, they haven't been good for the past few years and their price has gone up considerably. This makes no sense to us. I have never seen a bag of mandarin oranges. I hope I can find these fro Scoutie. Thanks for sharing and your photos are gorgeous.

Thanks for that...clementine...it is from the mandarin orange family. Wiki'd it. Supposedly they don't have seeds. The ones that I've been chomping on don't have seeds either. Think I got this bag for $3 or $4. I'm going to try getting a bag from another store.

Okay, I love oranges, mandarin oranges, clemintines, komquats, everything! I'm trying to think about it, but they are probably my favorite fruits, well, tied with watermelon.
These pictures reminded me of when I went to ireland. I don't know why, but they must have been going through an orange trend because I was eating oranges at every meal, orange candies, orange sodas (and not like orange soda here, it was more like orange juice but pop/soda) and I was living it all up until I started overloading (probably on the vitamin c). Anyway, still love everything orangey. mmmmmmmm.

Speaking about Watermelon...LOVE it. As a kid, I could eat the whole thing myself if they let me. Ice cold...Yum Yum! Can't beat a super sweet ice cold watermelon on a HOT summer day.

OK I looked at the store last night. No mandarins or clementines. The clementines are usually in the stores around Christmas, January-ish in New England. They did have oranges I never heard of last night, though. I shall look in every store. But seriously, how are they getting to Hawaii from CA and not to Texas? I am on a mission. Will keep you posted.
