I checked and was not featured on the Etsy Front Page. Scratch scratch... I wasn't featured in someone's awesome Treasury. Scratch scratch. Everytime I noticed that whoever hearted me also ♥ this gorgeous hand crafted wedding gown, I knew something was up.

I love flowers and fabric. I have a large collection of vintage fabric which I never seemed to figure out what to do with...until now. I was inspired by other artistans and their fabric rosette jewelry. Wanting to use my vintage fabric and make rosettes jewelry also, I did it but with my own twist. This was the perfect new line of jewelry for my new Etsy shop "Lilikoi Cottage". It's fun, cheerful, eclectic, romantically vintage, a bit crazy with color and trims, and will definitely put a smile on your face. These bracelets are not for the faint of heart. I created this line for the Woman who knows who she is, believes that life is what she makes of it, and wants life to be positive and fun filled.

You'll find a variety of vintage fabric ranging from American cotton to Japanese Kimono. Vintage trims consisting of Ric Rac, ribbons, buttons, trim, and beads will be used. I have super pretty trim from Paris that I have stored away that I will be using.

Katie's Custom Bridal Jewelry Order for Herself as well as her 7 Lucky Bridesmaids

My newest custom order Bride Katie wanted something special for her 7 lucky bridesmaids as well as herself for her Wedding which is on May 5th. From my "Something Old Something New" line in my Etsy shop---Stacy's Designs 88, Katie wanted 7 pairs of earrings, each one different and unique and special for each of her 7 Bridesmaids. I did just that for her using my Vintage glass chandelier pieces ("yes" the ones from those old romantic chandeliers hanging from the ceilings), Fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals and Sterling silver.

For herself, Katie loved my I'm In Love White Topaz Chandelier earrings but was concerned about the weight of these earrings as she had one earring hole which was slightly stretched.

In trying to find a solution to her stretched earring hole, we came across these products "Lobe Wonder" and "Ear Lift" which were found on Amazon.com. If you're interested, check out the Customer Reviews for both products.

Katie emailed me a picture of her bridal jewelry inspiration and told me she wanted to have fresh water pearls and clear Swarovski crystals in her jewelry. We worked together on different designs until she was happy.

After a series of Conversations via Email, I created a long Gorgeous pair of Sterling silver chandelier earrings using Swarovski pendant shaped clear crystals, Fresh Water Pearls, and sterling silver stardust balls. She wanted the earrings to have a somewhat "diamond" shape to them and that's what I created. They look stunning!

Katie wanted a 1 1/2 inch wide bridal bracelet to match. So, I created this 5 strand Bridal Bracelet using all Fresh Water Pearl, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver stardust balls. The earrings and the bracelet together are quite elegant. I was very pleased with the pair. I hope Katie Loves them too.

After I create the jewelry for my brides, I am not done. Uh huh. No way. Now a new fun begins. I love to create a jewelry box for the bridal jewelry and also a special "Thank You" card just for my Bride using her bridal colors. For Katie, her bridal colors are the classics...black and white in modern & graphic damask. I decorated her jewelry boxes with that in mind. Also, I made a special "thank you" tag just for Katie using my Close To My Heart acrylic stamps, my trusty glitter, rhinestones, and vintage red ribbon.

Abby is my official Etsy Internet Pal. She is a fan of my bridal jewelry and appreciated my "eye" and style. She wanted a complete bridal jewelry set...necklace, bracelet, and chandelier earrings. It all started with the "True Love" earrings. She LoVed them and wanted the other pieces to have the same feel---romantic, eclectic, and a bit sexy.

After Convos back and forth (my GF asked me recently---what's a "Convo"? They are emails thru my Etsy shop ), I came up with this Mock Design...she LoVed it, I LoVed it, We All LoVed it!

How do I come up with my designs?

It's a "feeling". I look at the pearls, crystals, beads that I have, I think about my client and review my notes and photos, and then something "pops" into my head. Sometimes the design and pattern comes to me really quickly. Other times, I have to futz around with the placement of the components over and over again. When I start designing, I can sit there at my table and design for hours on end. When I get into the "groove", I can't stop. I keep on going b/c I have that "feeling". It's a rush...indescribable.

Abby wanted 3 strands for her necklace, 2 strands for her bracelet, and a long version of the True Love earrings.

Everything is timing and luck. While Convo'g with Abby, I happened to luck across some beautiful Vintage Miriam Haskell faux pearls and Marjorca pearls. I had to use them in Abby's beauties. They were the perfect additions.

For her jewelry, I used a large variety of components----vintage Miriam Haskell faux cream pearls, vintage Marjarco, Swarovski crystal pearls in various sizes in both white and lt cream, glass seed beads, Swarovski crystals in various sizes, Sterling silver liquid silver beads, Oxidized sterling silver spacer beads, and vintage clear and frosted glass beads.

This is definitely a design that you can only find in my Etsy shop.

After completing her bridal jewelry, I was kinda stumped with how to box these lovelies. Obviously, they didn't fit in my normal jewelry boxes. Luckily, I'm a bit of a pack rat and had kept a William Sonoma's box which W&S gave me when I registered for their wedding registry. It was so cute that I couldn't toss it. It was plain white inside and out. I got crafty and using my Close To My Heart paper, decorated the inside and out. I hand stamped a special design and handwrote a special note especially for Abby from me.

I didn't stop there...I wrapped the box in a beautiful burnt orange satin ribbon and girly girl'd it up with a silk yellow daisy. The entire box was done up in Abby's wedding colors.

What's Better Than True Love?

True Love Necklace

ONe of my all time favorite necklaces just sold from my Etsy shop---Stacy's Designs 88. Which necklace is that you ask? My "True Love" necklace. It's all handmade by moi.

The True Love necklace is one made with all my love and takes several hours to create. First, I form the heart frame by hand and eyeball it using sterling silver wire. Then, I painstakingly wirewrap sterling silver wire around the heart frame. And then, finally, the best part, I weave in the fresh water pearls and the Swarovski crystals to create the center of the heart...True Love.

True Love with Extender Chain

This beauty hangs from a handmade all wirewrapped chain made of sterling silver and petite fresh water pearls. Then, I complete this circle of love with either a heart shaped toggle or a lobster clasp and extender chain. Everything in this necklace is made from sterling silver.

My fav customer Nicole purchased this lovely for her sister who is getting married this month. I wish I was there when her sister opens up this special gift from Nicole so I could see the look of surprise and happiness on her face. This will look soooo beautiful on Nicole's sister who is wearing an all white tea length polka dotted wedding gown. So romantic, so fresh, so mod-retro. I LoVe it!
